ROCKFORD, IL (WEEK) – A 42-year-old suspect wanted for shooting an American Marshal in Rockford is also wanted for a burglary in Bloomington in December 2018.
Floyd E. Brown, 39, of Springfield, is wanted for apparently shooting at an American marshal who came to arrest him at a hotel in Rockford for extended stays on Thursday morning. Brown has run away from the hotel and is considered armed and dangerous.
In December, Bloomington police issued a search for Brown regarding burglaries on the east and southeast shores of the city. Brown manages to escape the Bloomington officers.
Records of state inmates show that Brown was convicted of a criminal in possession of a firearm and violating a protection order in Sangamon County; three heads of residential burglary in Macon County and a residential burglary head in McLean County.
Brown is described as a black man, 5'10 ", 170 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes.
