A Florida teenager targeted her parents in an alleged murder plot that she financed with their money, police said this week.

Alyssa Hatcher, 17, was arrested on Tuesday on two counts of murder after investigators reported that the teenager stole her parents' debit card and carried out two different transactions, removing her from the family. Money to pay two different people to kill them.

According to the Lake County Sheriff's Office, a witness told the police that Mrs. Hatcher had given her friend "a lot of money" to find someone who kills her parents, according to an affidavit relating to her arrest. .

Hatcher's boyfriend had told police she saw Hatcher on Monday morning "in a known addiction center," where she had told him "that she wanted to kill her parents," says the affidavit.

The same day, Hatcher posted an article on Instagram containing a photo of her smiling with the cryptic legend "Ruthless" and a smiling face, reported the Tampa Bay Times.

It was revealed that Hatcher, using her parents' stolen debit card, had made two transactions: one for $ 503 and another for $ 926.40.

She was arrested by the Umatilla Police Department for the theft of the card.

During an interview with the police, Hatcher admitted to stealing the card and made the transactions.

She went on to say that she had used $ 100 to buy cocaine and gave her friend $ 400 to give her someone to kill her parents, according to the affidavit. .

Hatcher said that, since the murder never took place, she had given the remaining $ 900 "to a black man to kill his parents," police said.

Sgt. Fred Jones, Lake County Sheriff's Office, said the investigators were trying to determine a motive.

"There were people who said on social media how much she hated her parents," Jones said, according to ClickOrlando.com.
