A 26-year-old mother from Mesquite, Texas, had to pick up her baby from the babysitter on Wednesday night, but she never showed up.

Prisma Denisse Peralta Reyes was reported missing after her family and friends tried to reach her by phone several times.

The 2017 Reyes Jeep Wrangler was found abandoned by the Mesquite Police Department on Thursday morning in the 3,500 block of Roseland Avenue in Dallas, Texas. WFAA, a subsidiary of ABC, got a surveillance video of the last known sighting of Reyes near an apartment complex where his car was found.

The child of Reyes is cared for by loved ones until he is located, said Mesquite police in a statement.

Reyes was last seen in the video clip on a mobile phone wearing a red polo shirt and light blue jeans.

Reyes' father-in-law, Dan Fuchs, told the WFAA that she recently became a US citizen and that she was from Veracruz, Mexico. He added that Reyes also worked as a paralegal and was a member of the National Guard.

Police are asking anyone with information about where Reyes is located to call the Mesquite Police Department at (972) 285-6336.
