The company leaves its more than 600 unemployed employees, including local laborers at the Lake Hallie site.
A statement on the LME website indicates that the LME will no longer pick up or deliver, citing unforeseen circumstances.
The LME has announced its intention to use Estes Express to deliver the remaining freight, but it warns of possible delays.
