A woman drowns in a strong ripping stream of Jupiter

JUPITER, Fla. (AP / WPTV) – Authorities announced that a woman drowned Friday night after being caught in a strong jarring current of Jupiter. Drowning occurred near the 3000 block of South State Highway A1A.

According to officials, the woman was hit by several waves that drove her away from her husband, who tried to save her.

Another bather took her to shore, but she was unconscious. She was taken to the Jupiter Medical Center but died Friday at 9:08 pm, PBSO said.

An autopsy will be performed. The name of the woman has not been published.

Two other deaths related to water

Officials of the Palm Beach County Sheriff said the drowning of Jupiter was one of three water-related deaths that occurred over the weekend.

Sheriff's deputies fired the

body of a fisherman of the Intracoastal waterway

in West Palm Beach on Saturday. And on Sunday, a man

the body was removed from a lake in the suburbs of Lake Worth.
