NEW YORK – A woman attempted to open a plane door when the plane landed in a New York airport, according to WPIX, citing a police source.

The authorities were alerted by a message posted on social networks Friday around 14 hours. who claimed that a passenger had attempted to open the cabin door of a plane on landing at LaGuardia Airport, in Queens.

When Delta flight 5935 arrived in LaGuardia on Friday afternoon, a passenger would have started shouting that she "had to open the door and die".

She tried to open the main cabin door, the source said. The flight was coming from the Raleigh-Durham International Airport in North Carolina.

The passenger's father pulled her away from the door and the flight landed without problem, according to a police source.

Port Authority police and EMS North Shore officers responded to the C34 gate at LaGuardia and removed the passenger from the aircraft after landing, the source said.

Stacy Herbert stated that she was a passenger of the flight and reported it on Twitter. Herbert described the passenger who allegedly caused the disturbance as a woman "perhaps in her early twenties".

Herbert also tweeted that the woman was "still outside the plane screaming" after being removed from the flight when she landed at LaGuardia.

The port authority police found that the case was a matter of customer service and took no action, while EMS considered the passenger as an emotionally disturbed person and took her to Lenox Hill Hospital for observation.

There were 71 passengers and four crew members aboard the flight and there was no delay, the source said.
