A woman was killed by her own dogs, her husband found her body in the living room: Police – Crime Online

A New York woman was reportedly mutilated to death by one or two of her domestic dogs on Saturday.

According to the New York Post, 67-year-old Arlene Renna was found unconscious in her living room by her husband when she returned to their home in Pleasant Valley. Renna's death was declared on the scene and state police said his injuries corresponded to a dog attack.

The SPCA in Dutchess County has since seized Renna's two coonhounds and a judge will decide their fate, police said in the media.

The cause of the attack was not clearly understood, but the police said she did not believe in a criminal act.

Authorities have also not yet reported whether they believed that one or both dogs had participated in the attack.
