An AAF team in Raleigh?

Athletic said Dundon could position itself to form an AAF team in Raleigh, NC, although one source told Glenn that while Raleigh is an option for an extension or relocation franchise, this is would produce until 2020 at the earliest.

The new league will have its difficulties. The league had a lot less buzz during the second week, as was the case with the XFL in 2001. Everyone knew that the interest and ratings of the first week did not mean that the FAA had arrived, although they were promising signs. Now the challenge is to try to maintain the momentum that goes on during the rest of the inaugural season.
