TORONTO – Aaron Judge is trying to stay on track when he could come back from the casualty list.

The judges began hitting the field on Thursday in Tampa, a day after Yankees coach Aaron Boone hinted that "there may be a way for the defensive player to get the ball right. be ready to play against the Red Sox in London at the end of the month.

"I take it from day to day. The minute I start thinking when I'm coming back, when I'm going to do it, my hopes can go up or down if I'm pushed back or something like that, "the Associated Press judge said. "So, I'm just focused on improving every day."

The judge has been suspended since April 20, when he left a game against the Royals at Yankee Stadium with a tense left-back.

"Now, just go through the protocols so that I can finally get out," said the judge. "They have not needed me in the last two weeks, so I'm going to take my time and look after my health and preparation so that I can help them on the road."

The judge, who hit in an indoor cage, also continued to strengthen his defensive work in the right field.

"It's good to finally be able to go out and get fresh air when I hit, now," said the judge.

The Yankees defeated the Blue Jays 6-2 to end a three-game losing streak and avoid losing three straight games to Toronto.

"He obviously played a lot, a little beat, a little sore in the last days," said Boone to Torres, who will likely return to second on Friday night after returning from Didi Gregorius.

Boone said Torres was available, but did not enter the match.

"[I] could even possibly give him [Friday off] so, '' Boone added.

The 58 games Torres are second in the team against the 60 played by Luke Voit.

Boone started Thairo Estrada for the fourth time. The rookie was sent after the match to make room for Gregorius.

Estrada, who was 0-4 with a run, was hit in the helmet by a stray shot by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and was examined for a concussion.

"He managed all the details of the game," said Boone.
