the penultimate episode of "Game of Thrones" airing Sunday night on HBO and it has apparently included a brief appearance of quarterback Aaron Rodgers of Green Bay Packers.

It was announced last week that Rodgers would make an appearance, so that all observers kept their eyes open for the NFL's top-ranked doublesman.

Now, there will be no spoilers here, since I am only in the middle of season 3 of the series. And yes, I know I'm a little late at the party.

Sunday night, Rodgers posted this message on his Instagram account, confirming his appearance in the series: "It's only a few seconds, but I'll always be grateful to have participated in the penultimate episode of @gameofthrones"

The fans watching the show thought they saw Rodgers as an infantryman. Check out the third guy on this picture:
