Aaron Rodgers revealed he was engaged just days after rumors surfaced that he was dating actress Shailene Woodley.
While the footballer didn’t mention the actress by name, he took two brief moments from her acceptance speech for this year’s Most Valuable Player award in Saturday night NFL Honors to mention offhand that he got engaged this year and thank his fiancee for her support.
The 37-year-old Green Bay Packers quarterback was announced by Kevin Hart as this year’s MVP in the mostly virtual ceremony. Rodgers appeared by video call where he gave a heartfelt speech about the difficult season and thanked his loved ones for helping him through it.

“It’s an honor to win this award for the third time. 2020 has definitely been a crazy year, filled with a lot of changes, growth, amazing and memorable moments. 180 consecutive days where I scratched my nose hair. Playing for very few or no fans takes place all season long, I got engaged and played some of the best football of my career, ” Rodgers said.
Later in the interview, he mentioned his “fiancée” among the list of relatives and friends who deserved his thanks.
Days before her big reveal, a source told E! News that Rodgers and Woodley, 29, have been a “low key” couple for a while.

“They saw each other and were in touch,” the source said from E! About the couple, who are said to be in a long-distance relationship.

Rodgers’ big-game aspirations came to an end this year after the Green Bay Packers lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship game on January 24. Woodley, on the other hand, is reportedly in Canada working on the film. “Misanthrope.”

Rodgers had already dated Danica Patrick for two years, but they separated in July. Previously, he was romantically linked with actress Olivia Munn from 2014 to 2017.
