Stacey Abrams hosts weekly briefings for Hollywood directors, agents and entertainment executives on how best to help Democrats win both rounds of the Georgia Senate.
Abrams has frequently engaged the deep-pocketed liberal industry in his efforts to divert Georgia from Republican control. She said this month that she believes in the “power of fame to silence politics,” The Hollywood Reporter reported.
Briefings begin Friday, with the second round of January 5 at 39 days.

Black Voters Matter co-founder LaTosha Brown told The Hollywood Reporter that Georgia’s growing entertainment industry is proof of a “new South rising.”

Abrams first gained national notoriety in 2018 during his governorship loss to Republican Brian Kemp. Abrams admitted his narrow loss but never conceded the race. She blamed the loss on Kemp’s voter suppression tactics when he was secretary of state, although voter registration and turnout rose during his tenure.
