AC Schnitzer has unveiled a suite of upgrades it has developed for the G80 BMW M3 competition. Its upgrades add power, aerodynamics, suspension components and should get you around quickly, both to and away from the nearest distribution center.
First, the tuner ran his magic wand over the M3 Competition’s inline six engine to boost output to 503 hp (510 hp / 375 kW) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque up to at 582 ch. (590 PS / 434 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. All of this also comes with a warranty of up to four years.
To hint at the extra power, AC Schnitzer also added a sports exhaust system with two carbon “Sport” tailpipes on either side of the rear. Together they bring improved bit rate and better sound qualities at the same time.

The M3 Competition can also be lowered 15 to 20 mm (0.5 to 078 inches) at the front. The suspension spring kit with RS coilovers allows you to adjust both compression and rebound.
AC Schnitzer was careful not to create an unnecessarily stiff suspension and said his motto was “better fast than hard” which is quite the mantra. This led to a suspension which the company said had “cheerful load shift reactions and mild understeer to the limits.”
A front splitter (which can be installed without the need for painting) increases downforce up to 40 kg (88 lbs) at 200 km / h (124 mph). Aero continues down the sides of the M3 with a set of four-piece spoilers for the front fenders, which are complemented by design cues on the hood.
At the rear, meanwhile, a roof spoiler adds 20 kg (44 lbs) of downforce. The combination of a rear diffuser and a new ‘Racing’ carbon rear spoiler with stretcher flap generates an additional 70 kg (154 lbs) of downforce to keep you well and planted in the corners.
The AC3 lightweight forged wheels are available in silver / anthracite or anthracite / silver and measure 10.0 J x 20 inches. The wheels can be fitted with 285/30 R 20 tires at the front and 295/30 R 20 at the rear.
Inside, AC Schnitzer designed its own steering wheel in fine black Nappa leather and black Alcantara. Recessed grips give the driver a more comfortable place to rest their thumbs.
The tuner also offers larger gearshift paddles to make them easier to find. The aluminum pedals and footrests are connected by a key ring and an aluminum cover for the iDrive controller to make the interior more sporty.
