Syracuse, NY – The Syracuse Orange will be the No. 8 seed in this week’s ACC tournament in Greensboro, NC
The Orange standings were established when Clemson beat Pittsburgh early Saturday afternoon. The victory left Clemson with a conference record of 10-6 and the No. 6 seed. Syracuse was 9-7 in the league. There’s a chance Syracuse could end up tied with North Carolina if the Tar Heels lose to Duke tonight.
However, North Carolina would win the tiebreaker and get the 7th seed.
Syracuse will open the ACC tournament on Wednesday with a second round game set to start at noon.
Orange’s opponent for this game will not be decided until the conclusion of the North Carolina game against Duke tonight at Chapel Hill.
If the Tar Heels win, Syracuse will face North Carolina State on Wednesday. If Duke wins, Syracuse will have a date with the Blue Devils.
