According to one report, the AT & T streaming service could cost a dollar more than HBO Now

AT & T may be abandoning its plans for a three-tier streaming service to merge content from HBO, Cinemax and Warner Bros. in an offer ranging from $ 16 to $ 17 a month.

Last year, AT & T announced that it would leave customers choose between three levels of service. The first would be for the films, the second for the originals and the third for the contents of the WarnerMedia catalog, including HBO, Turner and Warner Bros. This plan would have been changed in favor of an offer, they told The Wall Street Journal in a report on Thursday.

AT & T's WarnerMedia service will apparently be available in "beta" later this year. It will be available next March, according to the report.

Prices and content are not yet fixed, according to the Journal. streaming service still has no name. WarnerMedia executives are expected to meet next week to discuss the details.

John Stankey, WarnerMedia executive at AT & T, said last year that the company's streaming service costs more than HBO Now's $ 15 per month subscription.

WarnerMedia may also offer a cheaper, advertising-funded version of the service next year. According to the Journal, the company could in the future include a premium option allowing viewers to watch live events or sports.
