Microsoft plans to create two new subscription services for players, by Brad Sams and WalkingCat.
First Up is a "Game Pass Ultimate" combining an Xbox Live Gold subscription and a GamePass subscription. Xbox Live Gold is regularly on sale, but costs around $ 60 at the annual purchase or $ 10 a month at the monthly purchase. The Game Pass is a $ 10 per month package (although a special offer currently offers one month for a dollar). The Ultimate subscription will cost $ 15 / month, making it a balanced proposal for annual subscribers (or even a slight price increase, if you can get gold for under $ 60), but an interesting discount for monthly subscriptions.
Secondly, Microsoft will soon have a subscription to Game Pass for Windows as well. The details are slim or nonexistent at the moment, but with the increasing efforts of Microsoft to unify the Xbox and Windows games and its intention to offer the previously exclusive version of the Xbox. Halo: Master Chief Collection for Windows, a Game Pass for Windows would make a lot of sense.
Even more subscription options will likely be considered once the company's Xcloud streaming service is up and running.
