This week's testimony by Trump's former personal attorney, Michael Cohen, undermined the Democrats' long-standing claims that President Trump's team would have collaborated with Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign, said Thursday Tucker Carlson of Fox News.
In presenting his argument on "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Carlson cited four key moments in Cohen's appearance Wednesday before the House Oversight and Reform Committee.
"Instead of confirming the Russian plot that has dominated and controlled American politics for over two years, Michael Cohen has just refuted it," said Carlson.

1. Never been to Czech Republic
Carlson first raised the allegation that Cohen allegedly met Russian agents in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2016 to help secure a victory in Trump's election. This argument quickly dissipated, said Carlson, when Cohen told committee members of the House that he had "never been to the Czech Republic".
2. The incriminating video does not exist
Then, Carlson reported rumors that Russian agents would own a video of Trump with prostitutes and use it as a means of pressure against the president. The Fox News host then indicated that at this week's hearing, Cohen was asked if he was aware that Trump would have participated, at home or abroad, in activities that would subject him to blackmail or extortion.
"I'm not, no," replied Cohen.
"I've heard about these tapes for a long time," added Cohen, referring specifically to the rumors on the video. "Many people have contacted me over the years. I have no reason to believe that this band exists. "

3. Not aware of collusion with Russia
Later in his testimony, Carlson noted that Cohen had been asked if the president had lied about collusion with Russia in the 2016 presidential election.
"I would not use the word" collusion, "replied Cohen. "… Is there anything odd in praise with President Putin? Yes, but I'm not really sure I can answer this question in terms of collusion."
4. Never received the order to lie in Congress
Finally, Carlson pointed out that Cohen had told the House that Trump had never asked him to lie in Congress.
"It turns out that Michael Cohen is not a very reliable narrator," Carlson said.
Carlson also referred to a Daily Mail report that he said raised new questions about Cohen's credibility.
