The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star announced an additional award on his Twitter account on Monday.
“If there isn’t already a reward for the arrest and conviction of the lousy MAGAT who did this, I’ll throw away $ 20,000.” And I promise that there will be bonuses to this award! ” he said.
The manatee was discovered Jan. 10 in the Homosassa River in Florida with the president’s name scratched on its back, according to a press release from the Center for Biological Diversity.
It is not known what was used to mark the animal.
The Center has already announced a reward of $ 5,000 for information leading to a conviction of the official, according to a press release.
Officials from the US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are investigating. Anyone with information can call the commission’s hotline at (888) 404-3922.
