Actor Michael Madsen charged with DUI during an arrest in March

Prosecutors charged Michael Madsen with two counts of drunk driving offenses after the actor drove his SUV into a pole last month.

The Los Angeles County Attorney's Office said Wednesday that Madsen, 61, had been charged with impaired driving by alcohol over the last 10 years of another offense with driving with impaired and driving with an alcohol content of 0.08% within 10 years.

Madsen has not registered a plea and is scheduled to appear in court on May 20. An email to his publicist requesting comments was not immediately returned.

ACTOR MICHAEL MADSEN ARRESTED FOR ALLEGED CONDUCT UNDER INFLUENCE

Authorities say Madsen was driving a Land Rover that hit a post in Malibu on March 24. Nobody was hurt.

Madsen is best known for appearing in Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs" and "Kill Bill" films.
