BOSTON (AP) – Actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin are among at least 40 people charged with the corruption scandal at universities.

Loughlin appeared in the sitcom on ABC's "Full House" and Huffman played in "Desperate Housewives" on ABC.

According to court documents, Huffman allegedly paid $ 15,000, disguised as charitable donations, so that his daughter could participate in fraudulent scams at the college entrance.

The court documents indicate that a witness who attended a meeting met Huffman and her husband at their home in Los Angeles and explained to them the scam. The co-worker told the investigators that Huffman and his wife had "accepted the plan".

Huffman is married to actor William H. Macy.

The comment messages were left to representatives of Huffman and Loughlin.
