At 0-11, the 2020 Jets are a team with countless “what if” moments. Head coach Adam Gase has revealed one that happened in the spring.

New York plays in Las Vegas this Sunday, which sparked a discussion over Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs. By Connor Hughes from Athletic, Said Gase the Jets “liked” the Ruggs leaving Alabama and were “definitely interested” in the open sea.

But the Jets needed a left tackle and Louisville’s Mekhi Becton was too good for the team to move up to No.11 overall.

The Raiders picked Ruggs a pick later and the rest is history.

Becton has started eight games this season, playing 60% of New York’s offensive shots. Ruggs started nine games as a rookie, recording 17 receptions for 312 yards and one touchdown.

The Ruggs can make the difference in the 2020 Raiders-Jets game. Last year, the Raiders failed to score a touchdown at MetLife Stadium, as the Jets won a laugh, 34-3.
