Adam Sandler paid tribute to Cameron Boyce, his co-star "Grown Ups", with an incredibly moving and generous gesture.
Thirst Project CEO and co-founder Seth Maxwell told TMZ that nearly $ 15,000 had been raised for the charity, largely thanks to a Sandler Facebook fundraiser.
Boyce's other friends, including Disney star Skai Jackson, and Modern Family actor Nolan Gould, also raised public awareness of The Thirst Project, which resulted in a sharp increase donations.

The charity honored Boyce with the Pioneering Spirit Award at the 9th annual Thirst Gala last April for raising more than $ 30,000 for the Thirst Project and helping build two new wells in Swaziland.
In his thank-you speech for the award, Boyce quoted Denzel Washington, who has already said, "You never see a U-Haul behind a hearse."

Disney also made a donation to The Thirst Project after Boyce's death and the cancellation of the premiere of "The Descendants 3" on the red carpet, declaring to ABC News in a statement: "We are proud to be part of from the legacy of Cameron Boyce by showing off his talents on screen but we cancel the first edition of the Red Carpet of "Descendants 3" (scheduled for July 22) and instead, The Walt Disney Company will donate to The Thirst Project, a philanthropic organization to which Cameron was deeply committed. Boyce died earlier this month at the age of just 20 after having a sleep fit. The actor's parents then confirmed that he was suffering from epilepsy.

Sandler had previously paid homage to Boyce with a touching Instagram missive, writing, "Too young. Too sweet. Too funny. Just the kindest, the most talented and the most decent of children. Loved this kid. So loved his family. Thirst for the world. Thank you, Cameron, for all you have given us. Much more was on the way. All our hearts are broken. Thinking about your extraordinary family and sending our deepest condolences.
