Adam Sandler to welcome 'SNL' for the first time

Heads up, Adam Sandler fans: The actor and comedian have to present NBC's "Saturday Night Live" for the first time next month.

Sandler, who joined SNL as a writer in 1990 before becoming a member of the cast from 1991 to 1995, will host the late-night show for the first time on May 4th. The musical guest of this evening will be singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes. NBC said in a press release Friday. This appearance marks Mendes' second participation as a musical guest of the show.
