Heads up, Adam Sandler fans: The actor and comedian have to present NBC's "Saturday Night Live" for the first time next month.
Sandler, who joined SNL as a writer in 1990 before becoming a member of the cast from 1991 to 1995, will host the late-night show for the first time on May 4th. The musical guest of this evening will be singer and songwriter Shawn Mendes. NBC said in a press release Friday. This appearance marks Mendes' second participation as a musical guest of the show.

"We are pleased to welcome Adam to" SNL "for a special evening," Executive Producer Lorne Michaels said in a statement.

Sandler has created "many memorable characters, impressions and musical moments, including" Chanukah's Song "as a member of the cast during the late-night show, according to the press release.
Aged 52, he currently has a special show on Netflix comedy – "100% Fresh" – and plays alongside Jennifer Aniston in the upcoming movie "Murder Mystery".
