Ron Adams has refused an assistant coaching position with the Los Angeles Lakers and will retain his revised role on the coaching staff of the Golden State Warriors, sources told the league.
Adams was a key assistant coach for the Warriors. He has just finished his fifth season with Steve Kerr's staff and his 25th season overall as an NBA assistant coach.
The Warriors had allowed the Lakers to talk to Adams about joining Frank Vogel's staff.
The Lakers are still looking for another coach to join assistants Jason Kidd and Lionel Hollins.
