A huge weight has been removed from Adele's shoulders after filing for divorce from Simon Konecki, her partner for eight years.
"Adèle is feeling free and moving forward in life," said a Mirror source. "It seems like the divorce will be simple at this point, they both want what's best for their son."

Although the singer and Simon announced a split in April, she officially filed a divorce petition this week in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences to justify the split. She asked for joint custody of her 6-year-old son Angelo, who she shares with Simon.
The deposit states that alimony, as well as the separation of their assets and property, will be determined by mediation.
Several UK agencies reported that Adele and Simon had not signed a marriage contract prior to their marriage. Because Adele has filed for divorce in California, where they own a home and where her business is based, Simon could be entitled to half the singer's income.
Divorce, however, should not become complicated.

Earlier this month, a source told People magazine that Adele felt "healed like hell" since the split and ready to go out again.
"She is preparing herself mentally and physically to promote new music, and it looks like it will happen later this year," the source said. "She talked about last year as a very difficult year and she already said that creating new music was almost a therapy.You can say that she is ready to share with her fans. "
