Adrian Peterson back to the starting RB for the Redskins

With Derrius Guice in the foreseeable future with the Redskins due to a meniscus injury, former Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is back at the starting goal, at least for this week against the Cowboys.

Peterson, 34, scoured 1,042 yards with Washington last season, his eighth 1,000-yard season of his career.

For Peterson, it's a memorable season. He has only 345 yards passing seventh on the NFL list with 13,663 yards, currently held by Jerome Bettis. He also needs only one touchdown for his No. 107 career, which would break the tie with Jim Brown and hold fifth place.

Peterson played 10 seasons with the Vikings, totaling 11,747 yards and 97 touchdowns.
