AEW Dynamite averages over 1 million viewers for four consecutive weeks for the first time

According to Wrestlenomics’ Brandon Thurston, Wednesday’s live edition of AEW Dynamite’s Homecoming drew 1.102 million viewers on TNT.

This is a 0.54% drop from last week’s Fight for the Fallen edition of Dynamite, which drew 1,108 viewers.

Dynamite scored 0.46 in the 18-49 key demographic this week. This is up 2.22% from last week’s 0.45 rating.

The key demographic score of 0.46 represents approximately 593,000 viewers who watched the show from that 18-49 demo. This is an increase of 1.89% from the 582,000 viewers aged 18 to 49 last week represented by the key demo rating of 0.45.

Homecoming marked the first time AEW Dynamite has averaged over a million viewers for four consecutive weeks. The key demo rating of 0.46 is tied with the October 9, 2019 episode for the second-best demo rating, behind the original first. Dynamite Homecoming’s viewership was down 0.54% from last week, while the 18-49 key demo rating was up 2.22% from last week.

Last night’s Dynamite Homecoming audience grew 22.3% from the same week in 2020. The key demo was up 27.8% from the same week last year, which s’ is played against WWE NXT in the Wednesday night time slot.

AEW’s Homecoming Special from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Fla. Featured several pre-announced matches and segments – 2.0 (fka Ever-Rise) debuting with Daniel Garcia against Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston and Darby Allin, Christian Cage vs. The Blade, Malakai Black vs. Cody Rhodes, Chris Jericho vs. Juventud Guerrera, an NWA Women’s World Title match with The Bunny vs. Leyla Hirsch and TNT champion Miro defending against Lee Johnson.
