The Wednesday night anniversary edition of AEW Dynamite attracted an average of 1,053,000 TNT viewers, down 8.6% from last week. This is the show’s lowest audience since September 1.

In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite scored 0.37, down 17.8% from last week. This is the lowest number Dynamite has made in the demo since August 18.

After several weeks at the top of the cable charts in 18-49, Dynamite fell to fourth place this week. The show faced stiff competition in the form of the MLB National League Wildcard game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the St. Louis Cardinals, which averaged nearly 6.7 million viewers. and scored 1.73 in the 18-49 demo. Dynamite was also behind Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and the MLB post-game show.

The individual demo categories were interesting. Dynamite was down among men aged 18 to 49, from a score of 0.67 last week to 0.53 this week. For women in the same category, Dynamite fell only 4.4 percent. In the 18-34 demo, Dynamite was actually tied with last week, so that drop was with the men 35-49.

Among people over 50, Dynamite actually rose 2.3% to 0.45. Dynamite also saw a 16.7% increase among women ages 12 to 34, but men in the same category were down 16.1%.

Compared to the same week in 2020, Dynamite is up 39.8% in overall viewers and 19.4% in demo. This is the fifth consecutive week that Dynamite’s year-over-year growth has been at least 30%. Part of this is because the series no longer faces competition from NXT, but a lot of it is due to AEW’s return to tour and recent new signatories.

Below are Dynamite’s last 11 weeks of audience ratings and 18-49 demo ratings, as well as the 10-week average across both categories. This week’s show was down 6.7% in viewership and 18.9% among 18-49 year olds compared to recent averages.
