AEW Dynamite viewership drops compared to last week

AEW Dynamite’s second anniversary live-stream edition on Wednesday drew 1.053 million viewers on TNT, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This is an 8.59% drop from last week’s episode, which drew 1.152 million viewers.

Dynamite scored 0.37 in the 18-49 key demographic this week. This is a decrease of 17.77% from last week’s score of 0.45. The key demographic score of 0.37 represents approximately 480,000 viewers who watched the show from that 18-49 demo. According to Wrestlenomics, this is an 18.36% drop from the 588,000 viewers aged 18 to 49 last week that represented the key demo rating of 0.45.

Dynamite ranked No. 4 on the Cable Top 150 this week with a score of 0.37 in the 18-49 key demographic. This is down from last week’s No.1 ranking and ends a six-week streak at No. 1.

Dynamite ranked # 29 in viewership for the night on cable. It’s even with the # 29 ranking from last week.

This week’s second anniversary edition of Dynamite drew the lowest viewership and lowest key demo rating since September 1’s All Out go-home show. 17.77% compared to last week.

Audience for Dynamite last night was up 39.84% from the same week in 2020. The key demo was up 19.35% from the same week last year. The 2020 episode clashed with WWE NXT.

The MLB Wildcard game between the Cardinals and the Dodgers on TBS topped the night in the 18-49 demographic on the Cable Top 150 with a score of 1.73. MLB Wildcard game also dominated the evening with 6.673 million viewers.

Chicago Fire on NBC topped the night on network television with an average of 7.178 million viewers. Survivor on CBS took first place among 18-49 year olds with a score of 0.94.

This week, Dynamite’s second anniversary live edition from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pa. Featured a few pre-announced matches and segments – announcements teased by Tony Khan, Bryan Danielson, Jurassic Express and the World Champion. World Impact Christian Cage against the elite (AEW World Champion Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, The Young Bucks) in opening, the new TNT champion Sammy Guevara defending against the first Bobby Fish, Hikaru Shida against Serena Deeb, as well as as the main Casino Ladder Match event featuring PAC, Andrade El Idolo, Orange Cassidy, Jon Moxley, Matt Hardy, Lance Archer and the Returning Hangman, who entered the match as a surprise participant, the Joker.
