Afghan women lawyers flee the men they pursued

Five years ago, under the previous government, she became a prosecutor in the office of the Attorney General of Afghanistan. Part of her job was to “prosecute and secure sentences for those who committed rape, murder and domestic violence,” she told the BBC from a safe home in Afghanistan. It was “difficult but satisfying work,” she said.
