Astronomers across the country were treated to a rare show on Friday night as the sky hosted the longest eclipse of the entire 21st century The total eclipse of the full moon lasted a little less than two hours, giving viewers enough time to get out their telescopes and their long lenses, in the hope of capturing the experience.
