The majority of Elon Musk's followers think the Earth is "flat and hollow"

In 2018, the most recent of all years in history, it is still very difficult to find a consensus. Is Ronaldo better than Messi? Is Brexit a good idea? Is it currently the "holiday season" or does it not start before December 1st? We simply can not agree.

We can not even agree on the shape of the planet we live on. I mean, it sounds flat, right? True, I've seen quite a lot of hills in my day, but you know, it's not like the earth was round. But then, if it's really flat, why has not anyone else fallen to the edge of the chasm? Or maybe they have and we just do not know? We are just never going now for sure.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesx and SpaceX, graciously conducted a survey on Twitter to help us gauge what most people think. Surprisingly, the majority of the 400,000 people surveyed said the Earth was "flat and hollow" – 59 percent actually.

The second most popular choice was "hollow" with 24% of the vote, followed by "flat" voting with 17%.

As such, the fact that the majority of supporters of Elon Musk said that the earth was flat and hollow becomes much less surprising if we consider that there was no option "spherical and not hollow" available in the tri-fold survey.

But hey, we will not always show you your first choice. You will not always be pleased by the options available to you on the voting card. The most important thing is that you vote and vote, and that's what people did.

In the thread that followed, many voters explained their votes with quite convincing arguments. It even appears that there is a "hollow and flat earth society", although some hashtags suggest that they might not be quite serious.

Musk followed the poll with the following cryptic tweet:

This is not the first time that the tweets of the entrepreneur have raised eyebrows. Last month, he said that Twitter had blocked his account behind some weird tweets, having badumed that he had been hacked.

Maybe he spent more time with Mary Jane?
