American actor Will Smith caught up with Lewis Hamilton, five-time Formula 1 champion, just minutes before the grand prix end of season in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
A video posted on Mercedes' F1 account shows that Hamilton is arguing with Smith to untie him. Hamilton tells Smith: "Will, I have to run! Seriously !!"
Smith says it's a unique opportunity in his life to run and implores Hamilton to "leave something for others".
Fortunately for fans, it was a joke that both superstars were in. Smith was the GP's guest of honor and could not miss the opportunity to create viral content on social networks.
Hamilton won the race ahead of Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari and Max Verstappen of Red Bull. The Briton won his fifth title in 2018, equaling Juan Manuel Fangio's record.
