Fortnite now has more than 200 million players, making it one of the most played games in the history of the medium.
The new statistic, which comes from Bloomberg, represents a 60% increase in the number of players since the information sharing between Epic Games in June. The following month, Epic Games was valued at $ 8 billion and a new investment agreement reached in October valued the company nearly double.
Until now, Fortnite reportedly reported more than a billion dollars just by microtransactions. Although the Royal Battle component is free, the "Save the World" mode remains a traditional pay version for the moment. It is also planned to make Save the World free in the future, but this will not happen until 2019.
Fortnite is currently available with the cross-platform game on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, Mac, iOS and Android.
The game recently added the "Tender Defender" skin to its Royal battle mode, based on a concept drawn by an eight-year-old fan, and it was announced earlier today that Fortnite gift of donations no longer no visibility.
