[ad_1]

Samsung has just launched the second beta version of Android Pie for the Galaxy S9. This is not the second phase, notice. It is not yet known when the beta will be extended to new markets. This is a new beta release being deployed for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 +.

The latest beta will certainly bring improvements, as Samsung continues to tweak the update. This is the main reason for launching a beta program. Samsung takes into account the comments of the testers and makes the necessary corrections. This is to ensure a public launch without any problem when the time comes.

Samsung Deploys the Second Beta of Android Pie for the Galaxy S9

Samsung now deploys the firmware version G960FXXU2ZRKL for the Galaxy S9. This is the second beta version of Android Pie for this device. It weighs just over 700 MB and comes with the November 2018 security patch. The changelog notes that this release improves the performance of the front camera. The brightness of the faces will be improved under backlight conditions. The rest is generic because the changelog mentions improvements for the overall safety and stability of the device.

We will be sure to test the second beta version of Android Pie to find out what has changed since the first beta. Check out our One One UI (Android Pie) feature set to learn more about this update. Samsung will probably release two more beta releases before releasing Android Pie for the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9 in January 2019.

The One UI beta program (Android Pie) was initially limited to the Galaxy S9 / S9 +. However, it seems that the program may soon be open on the Galaxy Note 9. Samsung has briefly opened the listings to the beta program of the Galaxy Note 9 Android Pie. This suggests that the device may soon also be part of this program. We will let you know when that happens.
