Rangers boss Steven Gerrard insists that he stays with Ibrox after saluting the support he received from President Dave King.
The former Liverpool skipper was named for a four-year contract this summer and had an impressive start in his first year as a manager.
His team can reach the Ladbrokes Premiership summit on Sunday with a win over Hearts, while still looking for the last 32 games of the European League before Thursday's showdown with Villarreal.
Gerrard insists that all this would not be possible without the support of King, Football Director Mark Allen, General Manager Stewart Robertson and the rest of the Light Blues Board of Directors.
And he says he's looking forward to a long partnership together.
Gerrard at the Annual General Meeting of the Rangers International Football Club at Glasgow's Clyde Auditorium said: "I would like to thank Dave for the support he has given me since the first day and the rest of the board of Directors.
"They really supported me, as well as my staff, and I would like to thank Mark and Stewart, with whom I work daily.
"Without the support behind me and my coaching staff, we could not have achieved what we have so far.
"I can badure everyone that we will be doing all the time and effort necessary to keep the club moving forward on the field and that we will continue to try to attract the best players to contribute to the success of this incredible club. .
"I feel so good being here as a manager. I hope to stay here a very long time and share some great times together. "
Gerrard, however, was forced to defend the club's behavior vis-à-vis former skipper Lee Wallace after the angry shareholder hit him with the "disgusting" treatment of his left-back.
Wallace was dismissed as a captain following a dispute with interim boss Graeme Murty following the hammering of the Scottish 4-0 Rangers Cup by Celtic last season.
Wallace – who was blocked by the club after the liquidation – has made only one replacement this season, as he continues to struggle with an injury.
But Gerrard said, "I have to pay tribute to Lee for his professionalism as he tries to get in shape.
"To be honest, it's still part of the projects while he's here, but I have better options in that position.
"My relationship with Lee is fine. He trains with us every day and strives to find his place in the team. "
Meanwhile, King paid tribute to Murty for breaking through the breach for the second time after Pedro Caixinha was fired last October.
The under-20 boss – who also took over the first team after Mark Warburton was eliminated – led the club until he was sacked after two crushing defeats against Celtic at the end of the last term.
He has since resumed his youth coaching post after Gerrard was hired to pick up the coins in the wake of last year's disastrous campaign.
"I want to thank a man who, in my opinion, is a real hero of the Rangers," King said.
"For the second time – and to a great personal anguish most of the time – Graeme Murty gave the club a head start by baduming the extremely difficult role of acting manager for a prolonged period and in difficult conditions.
"Graeme, I am extremely grateful for your sacrifice and your decision to continue helping the young people of the academy despite your disappointment. You are my man of the year. "
