The Kia Soul is always distinguished by its uniqueness and a new generation model has just made its debut, still waving this flag firmly.
The design of the entire Kia Soul 2020 has been reworked and the platform is completely new, but the third-generation car has retained the square shape for which it has become more known. The most important changes to the front include the thinner, more aggressive headlights that cover the full width of the car, a larger grille and exaggerated wings.
The Soul measures 2.2 inches more and the wheelbase has increased by 1.2 inches, which means that the cargo capacity can reach 5 cubic feet for a total of 23.8 cubic feet. The opening of the hatch is wider and lower and the front door openings are also larger for easier loading and unloading.

Inside, the Soul benefits from new ambient lighting that can synchronize to the beats of the audio system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, the ability to connect two Bluetooth devices simultaneously, wireless charging available, head display high, 10.25-inch touch screen, all driver badistance features and a mood lighting system that can be set to Romance, Party Time, Hey! Yo !, Voyager, Midnight City and Cafe. We do not know what it will look like, but we are interested.
There are two engines available. A naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque that can be combined with a six-speed CVT or manual transmission, and a turbocharged four-cylinder turbocharged four-cylinder engine. 201 hp and 195 lb-ft, and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Prices will be available next year, with the approach of the sale of Kia Soul 2020 in the first half. There will also be a sportier GT-Line model, a more robust X-Line model and an EX Designer collection with a contrasting roof.
Kia Soul EV
The Kia Soul EV, which will debut at the same time, will have an electric motor of 201 hp and a torque of 291 lb-ft. The range has not been announced yet, but the EV will be delivered as standard with a fast charge in DC and a battery of 64 kWh. In addition to the four driving modes, the Soul EV will offer pallet and pallet recovery braking with four levels of aggression. The system can also detect whether to brake more aggressively if a car is detected in front of it or more smoothly if it is stepping on a slope.
