Brendan Venter says the Springboks had worse performances in 2018 than in 2017 in terms of results and transformation.
The Boks finished the year with a record of seven out of 14. In a column for Things, Venter – who was part of the coaching staff of Bok last season – reminded readers that the team had only lost four games in 2017 and had a slightly better record of transformation.
"From a purely digital point of view, it is undeniable that South Africa has not progressed under Erasmus this season. In fact, their situation has deteriorated this year, "he said.

That said, Venter thinks that Erasmus must be supported for a long time so that the team has enough time to develop.

The All Blacks have lost to the Boks and Ireland this season. Venter suggested that New Zealand should work hard in 2019 to "regain its aura".
