Engadget Reports that Facebook is planning to allow users to block content containing specific terms appears on their walls.
The report comes after a computer science student, Jane Manchun Wong, code found this shows that the company is testing this feature.
Possible terms that users might block include words, phrases, and emojis.
This feature would not prevent the publication of these publications – it would simply be concealed from the view of the person who blocked the conditions.
This feature would be an alternative to the traditional blocking mechanism, allowing users to continue to view other content that does not contain the specified keywords.
Instagram already offers a similar filtering system that allows users to hide comments containing unwanted terms.
