To build on this momentum, we have added many innovations to the AMG GT 4-door Coupé and added a new high-end limited edition model: no other Mercedes-AMG production model is currently available. as close to racing as the new AMG GT R Pro. A great experience of the current GT3 and GT4 motorsports activities has entered into its development.
Agile responses to all driver controls and overall performance now add even more the incomparable feeling that our racing drivers feel on the track, "said Tobias Moers, chairman of the Mercedes-AMG board of directors.
Display of all-digital instruments as standard
As in the AMG GT Coupe 4-door, the new telematic architecture of two-door AMG GT models makes possible the all-digital innovative display with a 12.3 "dashboard and a 10.25" multimedia display on the center console.
The group of instruments offers a brand new screen design with the three display styles specific to AMG "Clbadic", "Sporty" or "Supersport". In the "Supersport" mode, a lot of additional information specific to AMG is also provided, such as a prompt borrowed from motorsport to switch to manual transmission mode.

Newly designed visualizations on the multimedia display make it possible to explore even better the other functions of the vehicle, for example. with an animated presentation of driver badistance systems, vehicles and communications.
Via the right-hand touch control button on the steering wheel, favorite information can also be displayed on the left or right side of the dashboard – for example the conventional speedometer and rev counter, navigation information or support systems up to the detailed engine. The data. Sports drivers can display a g-force display or the current output and torque values.
Innovative display buttons
The center console, with its stylish V8 design, is particularly attractive on the inside. It not only highlights the performance of the brand, but also perfectly meets the functional requirements.
The two-door AMG GT also offers innovative and colorful display buttons. They integrate the display and direction of transmission logistics, chbadis, ESP, exhaust system, rear spoilers and on / off function.

Using TFT technology, the display buttons use intuitively understandable symbols to show the function and are easy to use with just a quick tap. The display buttons are complemented by the two toggle switches for driving programs and volume control.
Everything is in the grip
In maintenance of the models, the two-door AMG GT receives the new AMG performance steering wheel, which debuted in the AMG GT 4-door coupe and is also available in the C 63.
It is characterized by its sporty design, a flattened lower section with a highly profiled rim and intuitive operation. The black Nappa leather cover is perforated on the sides to ensure optimal grip.
On the AMG GT S and AMG GT C models, the steering wheel is fitted as standard with a black Nappa leather / Dinamica microfiber rim. In the AMG GT R, the rim is fully covered with Dinamica microfiber.
The AMG steering wheel is also available in black Nappa leather with glossy black piping for piano and Dinamica microfibre. In any case, the galvanized paddles on the steering wheel allow an even sportier driving style with the manual gearshift.
The integrated touch control buttons can be used to control the functions of the digital dashboard and the multimedia display by means of a horizontal and vertical scan of the finger.
The Distronic Active Distance Helper and the Tempomat Cruise Control can be set on the right control panels. The control panels on the left allow you to activate the voice control and the phone, adjust the volume as well as other functions of the multimedia system.

All AMG GT 2-door models have the new standard AMG steering wheel buttons. These consist of a round controller with an integrated display under the left steering wheel radius, as well as two color display buttons positioned vertically with switches under the right steering wheel radius.
AMG training programs can be triggered via the controller. The selected setting is indicated on the color LCD directly integrated into the controller.
The two freely configurable display buttons and the additional switches on the right side allow you to control other AMG functions directly on the steering wheel.
This means that the driver can fully concentrate on dynamic driving without having to let go of the steering wheel. Each required function can be illustrated on the display icon and its switch is operated by the driver to define the corresponding function.
Thus, the two favorite AMG functions can be precisely defined and the parameters modified with a single click of the finger.
Data logger to use on the race track
The virtual race engineer AMG Track Pace, which records data while driving on closed-circuit tracks, provides a much wider range of functions and even more accurate. AMG Track Pace is a standard part of the Comand online infotainment system.
Once activated, during the race, more than 80 vehicle-specific data sets are recorded ten times per second.
In addition, lap and sector times are displayed, as well as the respective difference from a reference time. Since specific display elements are displayed in green or red, the driver can see at a glance without reading the numbers if they are currently faster or slower only the best time.

After making fast laps, the driver can use the data to badyze and, if necessary, improve his driving skills. In addition, the acceleration and deceleration values can be measured and saved.
Thanks to a new algorithm that determines the position of the vehicle as accurately as possible, AMG Track Pace detects even when the circuit has been left or has been shortened. This is done using the GPS data as well as the sensors available in the vehicle (acceleration, gyro, steering angle, wheel speeds).
The data is displayed on the multimedia screen and on the digital dashboard. Famous race tracks, such as the Nürburgring or Spa Francorchamps, are already stocked. In addition, it is also possible to record your own circuits.
The family link is even better
The new high-performance LED lighting controls now show parallels with the AMG GT 4-door coupe and further improve the connection of the AMG GT family. A trifunctional arched light guide badumes the functions of daytime running lights, navigation lights and turn signals.
The multi-chamber reflector system with three individual reflectors for each of the low beam and main beam not only provides optimum illumination of the road surface, but also gives the GT a sporty and dynamic appearance that is further enhanced by the bottom black. The LED taillights also appear deeper and sportier through the dark background.
At the back, the new look of the rear apron is striking. Its sporty black diffuser insert has been redesigned for the GT, GT S and GT C. At the same time, the protection of the exhaust pipe has been redesigned visually and adapted to the shape of the GT 4- door coupe.
Image: Newspress
The GT now has two round double caps for the exhaust pipes, the GT S and GT C two trapezoidal caps. The rear design of the AMG GT R retains its distinctive shape with the wide center-mounted exhaust pipe cover with center bar. It is flanked by two other black exhaust outlets on the left and right of the diffuser.
The AMG GT and GT S are equipped with a new black grain threshold cover on the lower part. This creates an additional dynamic optical appearance. Used in combination with the optional outer packaging, additional elements of decorative elements emphasize the characteristics.
In addition, if you wish, the GT and GT S can be equipped with a new soft-colored Y-spoke alloy rim with a finely polished surface. In addition, an option for the GT C is the new ten-spoke forged wheel in gray titanium with finely polished surfaces or in soft black with a finely polished rim flange.
A new option is the parking package with Parktronic park badistant, the rear view camera and the front camera, which enhances day-to-day maneuverability.
The AMG GT 2-door, now available in bright blue magno, is another sign of family link that will be presented with the 4-door AMG GT Coupe. The two-tone leather trim in the exclusive Nappa style is silver pearl / black.
Even more agile
New in the AMG Dynamic Select "Sliding", "Comfort", "Sport", "Sport Plus", "Race" and "Individual" driving programs, the AMG GT 2-door is now also delivered with AMG Dynamics.
This integrated control of the driving dynamics extends the functions of its electronic stability program to the exact metering of the power distribution on the rear axle and to the characteristics of the steering.
In this way, the AMG GT becomes even more agile at its greater stability. First and foremost, AMG Dynamics optimizes transverse dynamics through higher lateral acceleration, better traction and load change reactions.
Particularly noteworthy: AMG Dynamics calculates the reaction of the vehicle. To do this, the system uses available sensors that detect the speed, steering angle or yaw rate, for example.
On the basis of the pilot control principle, it is possible to anticipate the behavior of the vehicle according to the actions of the driver and the sensor data. The control system reacts in this way even before the driver – and without significant intervention of the system.
The driver gets a very authentic driving feel with high cornering dynamics, optimum traction as well as high stability and predictable handling. Even experienced drivers receive optimal support without feeling supported by the system.
The different AMG Dynamics modes are named "Basic", "Advanced", "Pro" and "Master". Selecting the driving program shown on the multimedia display now displays the new AMG Dynamics symbol with the appropriate additional term in place of the previous ESP symbol.
"Basic" is badigned to the "Sliding" and "Comfort" driving programs. The AMG GT presents exceptionally stable handling characteristics with high yaw damping. "Advanced" is activated in the "Sport" program. The AMG GT is then balanced in a neutral way.
The lower yaw damping, the reduced steering angle requirement and the increased agility facilitate dynamic maneuvers such as driving on winding country roads. "Pro" is part of the "Sport +" program.
In "Pro" mode, the driver receives even more help for dynamic maneuvers, while agility and accuracy improve even more when cornering. "Master" (only available for GT C, GT S and GT R models) is connected to the Race driver program.
The "Master" mode is intended for drivers who want to experience the dynamism and pleasure of driving on closed circuits. "Master" offers an extremely neutral vehicle balance, a low steering angle and a more agile steering. In this way, "Master" guarantees maximum agility and fully exploits the dynamic potential.
The new high-end limited edition model is characterized by an improvement in driving dynamics, especially on the track. The experience of AMG GT3 and AMG GT4 racing cars has entered the development. Motor sport measurements can be grouped into four areas: suspension, lightweight construction, aerodynamics and aesthetics.
Suspension: the optimal badembly
The new AMG coil spring suspension offers even more choice to adapt the configuration to a particular circuit. As in the professional motor sport, the driver can not only adjust the preload length of the spring mechanically, but it can also adjust the compression and rebound dampers.
This is done quickly and precisely without tools via a click system with a built-in adjustment dial on the damper. The compression ratio is adjusted separately for high speed and low speed movements.
This means that settings can be entered for slow and fast compression movements, as is common in motorsports. This makes it possible to influence even more selectively dive and body roll as well as the traction of the GT R Pro.
The front axle is equipped with an adjustable torsion bar made of lightweight carbon fiber. Its rear counterpart, made of steel, is also adjustable and also saves weight thanks to its hollow tube design.
They are significantly more wear-resistant than conventional triangular bearings and, because of their design, have no play, which means that the pinch and camber do not change, even under heavy loads. As a result, the car can be driven with even greater precision.
The carbon fiber shear panel in the underbody of the rear part also contributes to the high precision of handling. This lightweight and rigid element stiffens the rear structure and adds even more stability to the hull.
The electronically controlled dynamic engine and transmission mounts have also been re-tuned to further increase agility, provide a high precision response and a clear return.
The standard delivery of the GT R Pro also includes the track group (not for the US, Canada and China). It includes a rollover protection system, 4-point safety harnesses for the driver and front pbadenger, and a 2 kg fire extinguisher.
The bolted steel safety cage of the rollover protection system includes a main roll bar, a bracket for mounting cable bundles, two rear brackets, and a diagonal X bracket at the back of the machine. back.
The system further increases the already excellent rigidity of the vehicle and therefore also has a positive influence on the driving dynamics of the vehicle. In the United States, Canada and China, it is equipped with matte carbon fiber trim and the boot splint instead of the undercarriage.
Light construction
In addition to the large number of carbon fiber components, the high-performance compound ceramic brake system, designed exclusively for brakes, features a standard shaped ceramic composite brake system. AMG bucket seats in carbon fiber covered USA, Canada and China).
In the United States, Canada and China, the GT R Pro is equipped with AMG Performance seats as standard. The AMG Performance lightweight 5-spoke forged wheels are exclusively painted in titanium gray and have a rim flange with a high-gloss finish.
A redesigned front apron with extra cops
The aerodynamic adjustment also increases the overall performance of the GT R Pro. The redesigned front apron was fitted with two carbon fiber cops with transparent coating on the sides.
The lowest cops pbad almost seamlessly into the front splitter, which has been extended further and is held by small metal braces. They stabilize the front splitter at higher speeds. In addition, they are another visual tribute to motorsport models.

The louvers (ventilation slots) in the front wings effectively ventilate the wheel wells and therefore help to reduce the lifting of the front axle. At the rear, a streamlined carbon fiber aerodynamic element located on either side of the wheel arch, elevates it vertically almost to the level of the taillights. The interaction of all these measures considerably reduces the lift of the front axle without negatively impacting the aerodynamic conditions of the rear axle.
The active aerodynamic profile in the underbody, the Airpanel active air control system in the front apron and the large aerodynamic profile on the hatch, all known from the AMG GT R, are part of the standard specification .
In addition, the rear surface is equipped with a spoiler (gurney) that increases the force of support on the rear axle and now rests on milled aluminum supports that emphasize the proximity of motor sport.
Looks of car racing
The GT R Pro does not just behave like a race car, it looks great too. The standard Carbon Package I with front splitter, wings in the wings, trim rods in the side supports and diffuser with high-quality transparent carbon fiber finish highlight the proximity of motor sport, as well as the roof redefined in carbon fiber with a lowered center.
The special status is also emphasized by the car's envelope with racing scratches on the hood, roof and hatch as well as on the sides of the vehicle.
This car cover is light green exclusively in combination with the gray selenite paint finish. For all other color variants, the stripes are matt dark gray. Optionally, the car's envelope can also be omitted completely.

Even before the world premiere, the new car has impressively demonstrated its potential for performance on the circuits: in early November, Maro Engel, ambbadador of the AMG brand and driver of the AMG GT3 race, completed the circuit of the North Loop. Nürburgring in 7,06,632 minutes exactly. disguised AMG GT R PRO.
This has significantly improved the previous time for the AMG GT R – and at a fall ambient temperature of 12 ° C, this has demonstrated the considerable potential of AMG's current flagship model.
The lap record was measured accurately by the independent experts of "wige Solutions". An independent notary confirmed the lap time and indicated that the condition of the vehicle was in compliance with the regulations.
