Samsung has launched its new range of high-capacity SSDs at low prices.

The records were leaked earlier this month via a number of European online retailers, but Samsung's announcement provides more details on the specifications of the drives.

"Samsung continues to lead the SSDs by several terabytes with the launch of the Samsung 860 QVO, which delivers fast performance, reliability and value to more consumers around the world," said Samsung.

The company said the 2.5-inch form factor and SATA interface of SSD 860 QVO drives were perfectly suited to most laptops and desktops. .

Samsung 860 QVO SSDs offer sequential read and write speeds of 550 MB / s and 520 MB / s, respectively, and will be available in three variants: 1 TB, 2 TB, and 4 TB.

Samsung has announced that its range of 8D QVO SSDs will be available from December 16, 2018, with the 1TB model starting at a suggested retail price of $ 150.
