Researchers have reported a supply of milk for Toxeus magnus (Araneae: Salticidae), a jumping spider that mimics ants. The milk supply in T. magnus involves a specialized organ over a long time, similar to mammalian lactation. The study demonstrated that provision of milk and parental care to mammals for badually mature offspring has also evolved in invertebrates.
