Borderlands 3 sees the return of the favorite characters of fans of the whole series, but there are also many new faces. Like previous games, Borderlands 3 introduces a new set of playable Cave Hunters, each with its own unique abilities, skill trees, and customization options. More information will come with the gameplay debut on May 1, but we can already harvest a surprising amount.
Below we detail everything we know about the four playable Borderlands 3 characters. Make sure you check regularly as we update this feature with more information as it is announced. However, if you want to get a glimpse of everything we know about Borderlands 3 in general, read our detailed summary article. You can now pre-order one of the many editions of the game.
Moze the Gunner
The main skill of Moze the Gunner comes from his dude, Iron Bear, who instantly builds around her when she is summoned. It is much more mobile than previous machine gun clbades, which often had to adapt their strategies to stationary turrets. Another interesting feature of Moze's Iron Bear is that other teammates can jump in and use the mounted turret. This adds what seems to be a focus on Moze's style of play cooperation. Although she seems well able to defend herself, it seems that she is much more dangerous and effective when a friend is around her.
Amara the siren
It would not be a new Borderlands game without the presence of the Sirens, a group of mysterious women with incredible powers who are distinguished by the tattoos that adorn half of their body. Amara is the last mermaid to be introduced in the series. however, it is unclear how long it has existed in the Borderlands Universe or where it comes from. Unlike Lillith and Maya, Amara is more centered on the melee, which is evidenced by her ability to summon multiple ether arms to strike the wicked. His muscular physique and destructive offensive power give him a solid reputation as a brawler.
FL4K the master of the animals
The FL4K is essentially the clbad of Borderlands 3 hunters, but their most intriguing skill is the ability to command pets. Since the first trailers, it seems that FL4K can choose between several different pets, each with their own abilities. Based on the screenshot above, FL4K can command a Skag, a Spiderant and another creature brandishing a firearm. Currently, it's unclear how many FL4K creatures can have at their side at a time or how they will be controlled. If the appearance of FL4K is a basis for discerning the weapons for which it is most effective, it seems then that they know how to use medium range weapons and grenades.
Zane the operator
If you are a Zero fan of Borderlands 2, then Zane is probably the chest hunter you will want to choose in Borderlands 3. We are not saying that, because their names start with a "Z", it's up to because of his lure device, which pulls the aggro of his enemies. All this does not mean that Zane does not have his own abilities; he comes equipped with several gadgets, such as an attack drone that supports him in combat.
