Telkom Knockout – Semi-final

The teams: Baroka FC against Bidvest Wits

Date: November 25, 2018

Place: Peter Mokaba Stadium

Baroka FC will marvel at defending champion Bidvest Wits in the semi-finals of the Telkom Knockout Sunday afternoon at the Peter Mokaba stadium.

The match will start at 15:00.

Bakgaga has qualified for the semi-finals of the tournament after eliminating Golden Arrows and Mamelodi Sundowns by 2-0 in the 16th and quarter-finals, respectively, with home wins.

This is only Bakgaga's third participation in the Telkom Knockout and they have a golden chance to reach the final for the first time in their history. Reaching the semi-finals of the tournament represents their best result so far.

Gavin Hunt's forwards made considerable efforts to qualify for the semi-finals after playing in the 16 and quarter-final matches against Free State Stars and Maritzburg United respectively.

The Clever Boys have won the League Cup three times and will look to become only the second team after Kaizer Chiefs to win the Telkom Knockout back to back.

The two teams will meet for the second time at the Telkom Knockout. Last season, the Wits eliminated Bakgaga in the quarterfinals with a 1-0 win, thanks to a goal from Egyptian striker Amr Gamal.
