Durban – The Sharks rested Springbok prop Tendai Mtawarira for the Saturday match against the Stormers in Cape Town.
The Sharks desperately need a win to maintain their playoff hopes, but the 32-year-old veteran was still present for the Springboks in their 2-1 win against England in June and was then on the beat side the Lions in Johannesburg last weekend.
Mtawarira Square in the camp will be taken by Juan Schoeman.
There is still a spin to the scrum half where Cameron Wright sits on the bench for Louis Schreuder, who starts.
On the flank, the Sharks enter without the injured Jean-Luc du Preez, replaced by Jacques Vermeulen.
The good news for the Durbanites is that Springbok's wing bu Nkosi returns to the starting line after being pulled out just before last weekend's clash against the Lions with a late wound.
Lwazi Mvovo retains his place while Makazole Mapimpi completely leaves the team.
Thomas du Toit, meanwhile, will deserve his 50th cap of Super Rugby.
"This victory over the Lions was a great match for us, we are very happy with the result," said center Andre Esterhuizen. From the Stormers, Esterhuizen admits it will not be easy against a side that only plays for pride.
"It's their last game, a home game and as they have not had a good year, we know they're going to have nothing to lose and will want finish the tournament on a positive note
It's going to be difficult, we are expecting a lot from them. "
