Bloomfield establishes 200m PB at the London Diamond League | RJR News

Akeem Bloomfield, former junior national representative and star of Kingston College, was one of three Jamaican winners on the second and final day of the London Diamond League. Bloomfield shone to a new personal best of 19.81 seconds to win the men's 200-meters.

Ccommonwealth Games champion Ronald Levy also won the men's race with the best 13.13 result of the season to win the men's 110-meter hurdles ahead of Devon Allen of the United States in 13, 30.

2014 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Stephanie-Ann McPherson was a Jamaican quinella in the women's 400m. She won the test of one lap in 50.31 seconds. Anastasia Le-Roy was second in 50.85 seconds while Courtney Okolo of the United States was third in 50.93.

Natoya Goule, Commonwealth Games bronze medalist, continued her strong season finishing second in the women's 800-meter 1 minute, 58.67 seconds. The event was won by Ce'aira Brown of the United States in 1 minute, 58.57 seconds

Danielle Williams, world champion sprint hurdles 2015, had to settle for fourth place in the 100m hurdles with a time of 12.55 seconds record holder Kendra Harrison who posted a world leader time of 12.36 seconds.

Shericka Jackson was third in the women's 200-meter in 22.22 seconds while Jenna Prandini of the United States won the event with a personal best of 22.16. Gabrielle Thomas of the United States finished second with a personal best of 22.19. The next Diamond League game will be held in Birmingham, England on August 18th.
