Johannesburg – Barely a month after his father's death, HHP's son suffered another blow with the death of his mother.
Lerato Khanye, the mother of 13-year-old Leano, died Monday in a hospital in Johannesburg, Tsambo family spokeswoman Nkululeko Ncana told IOL.
"I can confirm that she pbaded away this morning in a Johannesburg hospital, and the family sought protection for her privacy while she treated her untimely death," Ncana said.
The sudden death of Khanye comes a month after that of his former lover, who committed suicide as a result of a battle against depression.
HHP, born Jabulani Tsambo, died October 24 at his home in Johannesburg at the age of 38 years.
He was buried on November 3 in the Hero's Acre section of Matlalong Cemetery in Mmabatho as a result of a court battle between his wife Lerato Sengadi and his family.
Sengadi had requested an urgent ban to stop the funeral, seeking to be recognized as the legitimate wife of the hip-hop star under customary law.
