The next piece of downloadable content from Destiny 2, The Black Armory, will still be in a week, but in the meantime we have a major update – patch 2.1.0 – to launch season 5, known as Season. of the forge. It introduces a wide variety of new items, as well as many changes and adjustments detailed in the full release notes.
When you log in for the first time with the update installed, you will probably want to visit Tess at Eververse first. You will be able to see the new luminous engram of the season, the engram engraved, and its contents. This includes beauty products and other exotic items; there is a fiery sparrow, new exotic weapon ornaments and much more to collect. You can see a handful below.
Regarding the release notes, various weapons have been modified. Prometheus Lens gets a bonus of damage, while the Memento Mori bonus of As of Spades has been "reduced to five balls, but can now be refreshed to recharge without having to get rid of all the bonuses of balls" . The machine guns get a slight improvement in accuracy, while the machine guns have a slightly increased range.
Crucible considers the return of Mayhem as a 6v6 playlist, and Lockdown and Showdown are back in a rotating play list. Shaxx has new phone lines that you will come across in a variety of modes. Shaxx also offers new items for direct purchase, as well as new seasonal items and a pinnacle weapons quest. In terms of progression, Valor and Glory now work as Gambit ranks because they are divided into three sub-ranks. Legend, however, is not divided into sub-banks, and you do not have to gain rank in order to increase your value.
Gambit sees its own progress changes, as the rewards should "better match Valor and Glory;" By ranking a subdivision above, you will get guaranteed equipment from legendary Gambit. Gambit bonuses yield twice as many Infamy points as before and should be easier to complete. The catch-up mechanism has also been adjusted so that the leading team has a better chance of keeping it.

- Shrinkage of camera shake and screen flash activated to try to mitigate the sensations of motion sickness when using the Burning Maul Super

- Camera adjusted during the flight sequence to mitigate the sensations of motion sickness when using Thundercrash Super
Exotic Armor
- Fixed a problem due to which Ophidian Aspect did not increase melee range on different Warlock-laden melee (Flaming Touch, Bullet Bolt, Entropic Break, Devour and Atomic).
- Solved the following problem: Lunafaction Boots upgrades only lasted 15 seconds in Well of Radiance rather than the entire duration.
- Fixed a problem on Ursa Furiosa so that the super guard gain is more consistent between PvE and PvP

- Developer's comment: Previously, at VERY high levels of resilience, it was possible to survive three head shots with a high-impact scout rifle. This change will ensure that players of any level of resilience will be defeated by three shots to the head.
- Note: A patch that will bring back high-impact Scout rifles to 150 rpm is planned for Destiny 2 Update 2.1.1, scheduled for 12/4/2018.
- Damage inflicted by high impact scouting rifles was increased by 1.87%
- Hunting rifles
- The Rapid-Fire frame on shotguns now increases the reloading of all shotgun shells when they are empty instead of the first shell.
- Trench barrel
- The advantage of Trench Barrel turns off after three shots
- Trench Barrel's description has been updated to reflect the new behavior and also to correct an error. It indicated increased accuracy instead of increasing the speed of reloading.

- Fixed mantle animation for the Queenbreaker
- Issue resolved: Some particle effects appeared in the first-person view when using One Thousand Voices
