Amakhosi revealed his team that will fight in the Caf Confederation Cup
After the loss to Orlando Pirates, the Kaizer Chiefs turned to the CAF Confederation Cup.
Amakhosi is expected to face Zimamoto of Zanzibar in the preliminary round of the continental tournament.
Nevertheless, the leaders have since appointed a team of 24 men registered for the tournament.
Publisher's choice
Recent recruitments Lebogang Manyama, Khama Billiat and 'Dax' are all part of the team of head coach Giovanni Solinas.
After the Telkom Knockout trophy attack last weekend, the leaders' trophy wait has continued, but the Glamor Boys will be relying on the Confederation Cup to revive their status as giants of the continent.
"The Kaizer Chiefs have 24 players in the starting line for the CAF Confederation Cup," reads the club's website.
"Amakhosi will mark his return to continental competition by hosting Zimamoto in Zanzibar at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday, November 28," the club said.
At the same time, the club also explained that it had chosen not to fulfill its quota, as it might consider calling for reinforcements later in the competition.
"The club has chosen not to occupy all the places, because more players can still be registered at a later stage of the CAF Confederation Cup," said the club.
"The match between Chiefs and Zimamoto at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium on Wednesday will begin at 7:30 pm," the club said.
