Cape Town – Captain of the All Blacks Kieran Read would be in high demand in Europe.
The 33-year-old has previously hinted that he could continue his career overseas after the 2019 Rugby World Cup, and according to a French rugby publication. Olympic Midday, Racing 92 are the favorites to win his signature.
The legendary former All-Blacks Dan Carter has also taken up residence at Racing after the 2015 Rugby World Cup. It is thought that the Paris club is willing to spend as much on Read's services.
The report says Read could earn 1.2 million euros (less than 19 million rand) per season at Racing.
English publication Rugby Pbad reported Tuesday that Read had received at least two "serious" offers from English Premiership clubs.
These clubs could give Read even more money than Racing, says the report.
Read played 118 tries for the All Blacks between 2008 and 2018 and took over as captain when Richie McCaw retired after winning the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
